The rectangular cabinet is raised on four slender square-tapered legs accented with delicate inlaid decoration, giving the piece a graceful and understated appearance when closed. Its versatile form allows it to function as both a sophisticated drinks stand and an occasional table.
The hinged top opens outward on either side to reveal a fitted and elevated bar interior, carefully arranged with a series of circular recesses designed to securely accommodate bottles and glasses. The cabinet retains its original two-bottle tantalus with its original locking key; the lock is currently inoperative. The interior is accompanied by two original cut-glass decanters, four brandy glasses, four shot glasses, four whiskey glasses, and one ashtray, creating a remarkably complete period entertaining service.

Measuring approximately 27 3/4 inches high, 23 5/8 inches wide, and 22 5/8 inches deep, this charming cabinet is both highly decorative and exceptionally functional. Its elegant proportions, fitted interior, original accessories, and clever opening mechanism make it an appealing example of English furniture designed for entertaining during the early 20th century.
