About the Artist
Sian Leeper is a British ceramic designer best known for her work with Moorcroft Pottery in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. She is celebrated for elegant floral compositions that reinterpret Art Nouveau traditions through Moorcroft’s classic tubelined technique. Leeper’s designs emphasize balance, rhythm, and richly layered color, often featuring stylized blossoms and flowing foliage. Her limited-edition works are highly regarded by collectors for their craftsmanship, decorative appeal, and continuity with Moorcroft’s historic design language.
About the Piece
This limited-edition Moorcroft pottery vase in the Isabella pattern features the studio’s signature tubelined decoration with richly layered glazes and sculptural raised enamels. Flowing Art Nouveau–inspired foliage and vivid red blossoms stand out against deep blue and midnight tones, creating striking depth and luminosity. The elegant waisted form enhances the rhythmic floral design, making it a strong display piece from any angle. Fully marked to the base, dated 2004, numbered 62 of 250, and complete with its original box.
