Bottom is Antique chromolithograph showing the "Easter Beurre, Olivier de Serres and Nouvelle Fulvie" pears from "The Fruit Grower's Guide," illustrated by May Rivers and published in London, 1892. This charming print / bookplate approx 8 x 10.75" And top is authentic Victorian chromolithograph print originally featured in The Fruit Grower’s Guide, written by John Wright and illustrated by his son Horace J. Wright around 1891–1894.This detailed illustration showcases three heirloom dessert pear varieties:Jargonelle: The small, elongated pear resting on its side on the left.Beurré d'Amanlis: The large, vibrant green pear positioned in the background center.Clapp's Favourite: The large, yellow pear with distinctive red-orange russeting or blushing on the right, bookplate approx 8 X 10.75" Overall framed dimensions 19 1/4" L X 16 1/2" High X 1" Deep. Purchased at The Allery Gallery in Toronto Canada early 1980's. Archival framing arranged through Parke Interiors in Pittsburgh, PA. Non smoking home. Pristine condition. See less
