A vibrant Chinoiserie style Tole Cachepot or Jardiniere from the 1950s-70s. Most likely made in France or Italy. This fascinating cachepot depicts a hand painted scene of men returning from a hunt with their game. The gilt scene is painted on a deep red mat crackle background with a scalloped Monteith top edge that is also gilded. It is a good solid weight and would look stunning displaying greenery on a shelf or table.
