This stylish desk was designed by the famous Danish furniture designer Børge Mogensen during the 1960s. This particular desk was made during the 1970s at the Søborg Møbelfabrik in Denmark and is in a very good condition.
The desk is largely made of oak and finished with oak veneer that has acquired a light patina over the years. The top looks good, with light wear to the lacquer layer. There are some superficial signs of use such as some scratches, dents and discoloration.
The three drawers open and close well and are fitted with the original brass handles. Under the desk, a new piece of oak has been mounted to hang the drawer unit from, where the original part was missing.
The design is characteristic of Danish designers from the 1960s and 1970s with clean and organic forms in which the wood and especially the grain are allowed to be seen. Everything exudes a high degree of craftsmanship and this stunning desk therefore fits well into any modern interior! This piece has an attribution mark,
