This petite decorative basket features a woven white ceramic basket filled with seven dimensional glossy red cherries, sculpted green leaves, and delicate wire cherry stems. The cherries have wonderfully varied hand-painted coloration and subtle surface character, while the twisted basket construction gives the piece an intricate, almost woven appearance.

The underside retains its original gold-toned label reading “Original Bassano – Italien – Hand-Arbeit,” identifying the piece as an Italian Bassano ceramic.

A particularly charming small-scale decorative accent for a vintage kitchen, dining room, shelf, curio cabinet, or collection of Italian ceramics. Its diminutive size makes it especially versatile for layering into a larger tablescape or vignette.
