The chair combines an imposing architectural silhouette with exceptionally dense botanical and geometric ornamentation, creating a highly decorative statement piece suitable for an entry hall, library, study, or traditionally furnished interior.

Its tall back is centered by a deeply carved, high-relief panel filled with scrolling foliage, stylized flowers, and tightly curled leaves. The dimensional carving produces pronounced highlights and recessed shadows, giving the panel a sculptural quality. Narrow pierced floral panels flank the central composition, while the crest displays a fan-like arrangement of radiating leaves and small blossoms.

The substantial arms terminate in broad acanthus-leaf carvings and are supported by turned baluster posts. Additional carved details extend across the seat border, apron, legs, and stretchers, including rosettes, interlaced geometric patterns, quatrefoils, floral medallions, and repeating triangular motifs. Incised botanical decoration surrounds the smooth central seat panel.

Restored in-shop while retaining the warm brown finish and visible character associated with an antique carved chair. Its upright proportions and extensive ornamentation make it especially suited to decorative or occasional seating.
