The … Read more Striking large-scale hand-blown art glass vase featuring a dramatic flared trumpet form in luminous amber, copper and burnt-orange tones. The richly mottled surface takes on an almost metallic glow as the light moves across the glass.

A substantial clear glass trail is applied by hand around the exterior, spiraling organically around the elongated body and terminating in sculptural, serpent-like details. The vase rests on a thick clear glass pedestal foot, creating a beautiful contrast with the warm amber body.

At nearly 20 inches tall with a 10.5-inch flared rim, this is an impressive statement piece with enough scale for a console, dining table, pedestal or entryway. Particularly beautiful displayed where natural light can illuminate the translucent amber glass.

Unsigned; maker unknown. The sculptural hand-worked construction and applied glass decoration are characteristic of studio art glass. We have intentionally avoided attributing the piece to a specific maker without documentation.
