Meticulously crafted in Mehun-sur-Yèvre, France, this piece dates to the late 20th century (circa 1980s–1990s) and features Pillivuyt's legendary brilliant white glaze—highly valued for its diamond-like hardness, resistance to chipping, and crisp, clean aesthetic.Measuring a magnificent 23.5 inches long, this is the rare, oversized estate model (factory shape stamp 24 01 57) specifically tailored to present a whole poached or roasted salmon. Its sleek, elongated oval silhouette creates a dramatic focal point down the center of a dining table or buffet. Beyond seafood, it serves as a spectacular canvas for monumental holiday roasts, charcuterie arrangements, or grand food staging.True to Pillivuyt's professional-grade heritage, this heavy-weight porcelain boasts exceptional thermal retention. It is famously thermal-shock resistant, meaning it can safely transition from cold storage straight into a hot oven or broiler, and is completely dishwasher safe. A timeless, highly functional investment piece for an active host, a classic French country kitchen, or a professional food stylist. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or crazing. The high-fired porcelain retains its beautiful, deep glossy sheen. The reverse is fully stamped with the authentic "Pillivuyt France Porcelaine Depuis 1818" mark alongside the molded factory pattern code 24 01 57.
