Each holder is constructed from heavy cast iron panels secured with metal fasteners and features repeating pointed arches, scrolling openwork, and an integrated interior platform designed to hold a pillar candle. When illuminated, candlelight filters beautifully through the intricate ironwork, creating striking patterns of light and shadow.

These are impressively heavy decorative pieces—not lightweight stamped or sheet-metal lanterns. The pair weighs just under 15 pounds combined, giving them a substantial presence despite their relatively compact size.

Their warm, aged dark brown iron finish and architectural design work beautifully with Gothic Revival, Old World, Spanish Revival, Medieval-inspired, European, Traditional, and eclectic interiors. An unusual statement pair for a fireplace mantel, console, dining table, coffee table, library, or entryway.

The holders have an open-top, fixed-panel construction and do not open. Candles are placed inside through the top.

Sold as a matching pair.
