PERIOD Charles I oak side table from England.
This is a magnificent and rare side table which dates from about 1640-1650. the top is made from three boards and has the well earned staining and wear from its journey throughout history.
The top is supported on a simple apron which retains the original single drawer in the front, and along with the sides of the apron has a molded lower edge.
The legs are hand turned bobbin and block, joined at the bottom by a matching bobbin stretcher in the front and simple stretchers on the sides and back of the piece. The table is raised on hand turned feet.
This is an exquisite example of an early 17th century table, and will compliment any interior in which it is placed.
