Richly carved and hand-painted, with a decorative harness, saddle cloth and a particularly unusual sculptural detail: a female head positioned behind the saddle.

The horse features glass eyes and a tail made from natural hair, apparently horsehair. The ears and tail are constructed as separate removable elements, a feature characteristic of this type of traditional wooden carousel figure.

A highly decorative and substantial object with excellent proportions and a dynamic sculptural form. It works beautifully as a standalone interior sculpture, collector’s piece, shop-window display or statement object for a showroom, restaurant or hotel.

Preserved in very good condition, as shown in the photographs. As there are no visible manufacturer’s marks, the piece is not attributed to a specific maker or exact period of production.
