An exquisite example of mid-century American luxury glasswork, this vintage "Deep Flower Bowl" (Model 8091) was designed by Donald Pollard for Steuben Glass in 1959. Renowned for its unparalleled clarity and high lead content, this piece features a brilliantly polished, thin-walled oval bowl that appears to organically sprout from a dense, heavy, and intricately hand-sculpted glass flower base.
The weight and light-bending properties of Steuben's signature crystal formulation give this piece an immaculate, ice-like presence. It functions beautifully as an elegant centerpiece on a dining table or credenza. The bottom foot features the characteristic fine, hand-etched script signature: "Steuben."

The hand-etched script "Steuben" signature remains perfectly legible on the bottom. less
