The shaped top is inset with black leather and framed by a moulded ormolu border
Bought from a dealer on Marche Biron at the Paris antiques markets
Fitted with three shaped frieze drawers decorated with geometric kingwood parquetry
Ornate ormolu mounts include female masks to the corners and decorative escutcheons
Raised on elegant cabriole legs terminating in gilt bronze sabots A grand and highly decorative antique writing desk with classic French character
