Made of most beautiful walnut, plain and striking. Great example of American 20th century master craftsmanship, of Mr. Elkan (1942-2014) had his works of wood sold in George Nakashima studio. Box when opened reveals a grooved well made for a "million dollar" gold pen or it can be used to lay down a necklace. Great for office, a desk top storage for writing instrument of high value. Condition is very good, showing minimal age / use wear if any - please see photos. Size is great to fit anywhere at 10.375" wide, 2.375" deep across, and 3.25" tall. This is a rare piece, a fine gift, and above all an investment decoration all great settings should have, traditional antique or modern! See less
