A handsome Theodore Alexander campaign-style executive desk inspired by late-19th-century British military furniture. Crafted in a rich warm mahogany-toned finish, the desk features a substantial double-pedestal form with inset brass campaign-style hardware, multiple storage drawers, locking compartments, bun feet, and a beautifully finished writing surface.
A decorative brass plaque on the center drawer reads:
“Captain Powers
9th Bengal Lancers
India 1895”
The desk also retains its Theodore Alexander maker’s plaque as well as two ornate tasseled keys.
The configuration provides generous storage on both sides while maintaining a comfortable center opening and 25.25-inch leg clearance. Several compartments and drawers open to reveal additional fitted storage, making the piece as functional as it is decorative.
The rich wood finish, aged brass hardware, military-inspired detailing and substantial proportions give this desk a sophisticated English campaign appearance that works beautifully in a traditional office, library, study, or eclectic interior.
