A beautiful and refined bar cabinet designed by renowned Danish designer Helge Vestergaard Jensen and manufactured by Jason Møbler in Denmark during the 1960s.
The cabinet is executed in richly figured rosewood, carefully selected and matched across the two front doors. It stands on an elegant solid rosewood base with slender tapered legs, giving the substantial cabinet a light and well-balanced appearance. Two doors with distinctive sculptural handles open to reveal a contrasting light interior, thoughtfully arranged with shelves, several compartments and a shaped bottle rack.
The recessed black formica top creates a striking contrast with the warm rosewood and adds to the cabinet’s sophisticated appearance. Particularly beautiful are the subtle details throughout, from the refined edge profiles to the carefully shaped handles and slender construction of the base.
A characteristic and highly decorative example of Vestergaard Jensen’s work, combining excellent Danish craftsmanship with elegant proportions and carefully considered details.
