A sculptural white porcelain floor vase by Hutschenreuther, Germany, dated to the second half of the 20th century. Standing two feet high, the vase combines an elongated columnar body with a dramatically flared, undulating mouth. Its generous scale and restrained monochrome finish give the form a strong architectural presence.

Deep vertical fluting rises continuously from the scalloped base, widening into sweeping folds around the upper body. The broad rim alternates between rounded peaks and dipping curves, suggesting an opening flower or pleated fabric. These contours carry through to the interior, creating a cohesive sculptural treatment visible from above as well as in profile. A glossy white glaze emphasizes the changing planes through reflected light and soft shadows.

The underside bears the Hutschenreuther lion-and-oval factory mark above “HUTSCHENREUTHER” and “GERMANY,” together with the number 6440. The design’s expressive silhouette and absence of painted ornament lend it an organic modernist character. The factory identification is supported by the photographed mark.
