Seven glossy green ceramic olives are sculpted onto one side of this vintage white plate, looking as though someone has just set them down. Their raised forms and varied olive-green glazes give the trompe l’oeil design its charm, while the gently scalloped rim keeps the plate elegant.

The open center leaves room for cocktail napkins, cheese, crackers, or other small bites. It would be equally appealing on a bar cart, displayed on a shelf, or hung among a collection of decorative plates. The restrained white-and-green palette makes it easy to mix with both traditional tableware and more playful pieces.
