A delightfully quirky, 20th-century French silver-plated lidded serving vessel. Beautifully designed to resemble a tomato or apple, the lidded bowl is gracefully supported by an organic pedestal base wrapped in climbing branches and realistic visual leaves.
While it makes a unique presentation piece for a variety of condiments, it was traditionally crafted in France as a dedicated Bloody Mary accessory to store and serve celery salt or garnishes for classic cocktails… fabulous!
Attributed to Parisian silversmith Armand Verrières (stamped with the maker's hallmark initials "AV" and a square poinçon carré confirming authentic French silver-plating).
