The piece features a rattan pole frame raised upon four splayed and sabered legs joined by a circular stretcher. The seat is mounted to a swivel mechanism with a visible gap from the sides. The side apron is constructed with a lattice of crossed reed sticks, lashed at each joint with wrapped cane rattan joinery, forming an open fretwork band under the rim of the piece. The rattan is finished with an intentionally aged specked cream colored paint on the rattan and topped by a round cushion in a striped green, teal, and white fabric with piped edges. The versatile piece is crafted in a Coastal Palm Beach Regency style, well-suited for a variety of interiors as a stool, ottoman, side seating, or a low coffee or side table. A Ficks Reed manufacturer's label is located on the underside of the seat.
