Vintage Kosta Boda "Open Minds" Hand-Painted Pedestal Glass Bowl by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien – Mint Condition with Original Label

This is an absolutely exquisite, collector-grade example of the iconic "Open Minds" art glass series designed by legendary Swedish artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien for Kosta Boda. Introduced in 1986, this dramatic chalice-form footed bowl features a milky white vessel hand-painted with Hydman-Vallien’s signature avant-garde, expressive black facial features, balances perfectly atop a high-gloss black pedestal stem.
This piece is in pristine, mint condition. It has been meticulously preserved and still retains its original Kosta Boda factory paper retail label on the under-base—proudly displaying model production number 7050714, the "Open Minds" collection name, and dimensions.

The original "Hand painted, do not machine wash" care sticker is also fully intact.

The base features the artist's etched signature/inscription.

Strictly Hand Wash Only: The base label explicitly warns against machine washing. Dishwasher heat and aggressive detergents will completely strip or flake the delicate black paint.
Lukewarm Water & Mild Soap: Wash using cool-to-lukewarm water and a mild dish soap. Avoid abrasive sponges, rough scrubbers, or chemical glass cleaners (like Windex) on the exterior paint.
Avoid Soaking: Do not submerge the bowl in a sink of water for extended periods, as this can loosen the original paper factory stickers on the bottom. Instead, gently rinse and wipe dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
