Eugenio Pattarino – Italian Ceramicist and Sculptor
Eugenio Pattarino (Florence, 1885) was an Italian ceramic artist and sculptor known for his expressive figural works and large-scale religious sculptures. He studied under Giovanni Fattori and continued his artistic education in Florence, Venice, and Frankfurt.
From his studio near Florence’s Ponte Vecchio, Pattarino created a diverse body of work in earthenware, ceramic, terracotta, and marble. His sculptures and ceramics reflect a distinctive combination of traditional, antique, modern, and occasionally abstract influences, demonstrating his versatility as an artist.
Pattarino retired in 1966 following a devastating flood that destroyed much of his studio, including numerous designs, master molds, and models. Today, his surviving works are sought after by collectors of Italian ceramics and 20th-century figural sculpture.
