This vintage market cart is built as a functional wheeled platform, with a wide, flat wooden tabletop framed in a simple rectangular border and supported below by two large spoked bicycle-style wheels flanked by smaller stabilizing wheels at the front and rear corners, giving it a sturdy four-wheel stance. The tabletop planks show a warm, weathered wood grain interspersed with faded traces of green paint, evidence of a working life spent outdoors. Rising from the platform, four slender bamboo poles support a scalloped fabric canopy patchworked in a floral pattern of jade green, marigold yellow, and deep burgundy, its edges finished with a woven trim band.
