Custom Rose Nubby Raw Silk Damask Wingback chairs from the late 1960's. All the details of fine furniture without a manufacturer's tag. Created to mirror the Baker designs with a camelback, deep curved wings, graceful rolled arms, curved legs and an H-stretcher base.
The original fabric has been carefully maintained - these chairs were for company only!
The nubby raw silk has a wonderful feel and color; the fabric was kept out of the sun as much as possible. These chairs were originally in a Colonial Revival home near NYC, then a Victorian in Chicago, and now in the foothills of CA. The elegant sophisticated designs easily work in a variety of interiors including English Country, Traditional, Colonial Revival, Cottage, and
historic spaces.
Even with all the travel, they are in excellent shape with solid wood frames and comfortable
down wrapped cushions. These chairs have been loved and admired for years and would be delightful in a library, study, living room or bedroom.
