A hand-inlaid Davenport walnut writing desk sourced from a private Roman interior, decorated with delicate satinwood marquetry. Scrolling acanthus and a classical urn motif with a bordered in fine strung inlay.
The lid opens to reveal the original fitted interior with compartments for pens, ink, and paper. The writing surface is tooled leather, aged to a soft charcoal patina.
Presented on a turned walnut stand with two lower display tiers, ideal as a compact secretary or standalone sculptural piece.
