The shell of this Banet Lounge Clay Edition is upholstered exclusively in a soft Maharam Linen Velvet with a bio-degredable seaweed-based foam cushion.

The Banets core material is made from Mycelium Based Composite (MBC), an innovative organic material. Mycelium is the underground network through which forests communicate. A branching web of threads that binds, nourishes, and renews. Combined with Hemp fibre, Mycelium grows into a material of surprising rigidity, warmth, and textural depth.

The manufacturing process, in the Netherlands, is as harmless to people and the environment as the material itself, being completey free of toxins or synthetics. And at the end of its life, each piece of MBC composts fully, returning to the same earth that made it.
