These elegant armchairs are a fine expression of Czechoslovak modernist design, combining a generously upholstered seat and backrest with Halabala’s characteristic sweeping bentwood armrests. The continuous curved wooden elements create a highly recognizable sculptural silhouette and give the chairs a strong architectural presence from every angle. Particularly appealing is the preservation of their original vintage upholstery, executed in a warm terracotta-red textile with a subtle geometric pattern and contrasting piping. The fabric beautifully complements the dark-toned bentwood armrests and tapered wooden legs. The wooden elements retain a rich, naturally developed patina, with variations in tone and traces of use that emphasize the authentic vintage character of the pair.
