Measuring approximately 7 inches tall and 6 inches across its generously flared mouth, the vase rests on a substantial 4-inch pedestal foot. The foot itself is heavily textured, creating another layer of visual interest beneath the alternating stippled and ribbed decoration of the body.

Celery vases were fashionable table forms during the great period of American pressed glass in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Tall stalks of celery were presented upright at the table in decorative vessels such as this one.

The exact manufacturer and pattern of this example have not been positively identified, and it is therefore being offered without a speculative maker attribution.

Measurements: approximately 7" H × 6" W at rim × 4" W at base.

Very nice antique condition. Please examine the photographs closely for condition and the beautiful molded detail.

A particularly attractive example for a collection of Early American Pattern Glass, Victorian tableware or antique pressed glass. See less
