Offered is a vintage mid 20th Century decorative plate made in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico, a province renowned for its earth-tone clay and much of the Mexican pottery and ceramic art created since that era. The burnished glaze, subtle sheen and colors are indicative of earlier Tonalá pottery from the mid 1950s through early 1960s.
Done in earth-tones, the plate features a bird and flower native to the region.
Measures: 11" in diameter, 1.325" tall.
