The sculptural design showcases Tendo Mokko’s innovative molded plywood craftsmanship, with gracefully curved side frames flowing into its distinctive sweeping rockers.

This appears to be an earlier production example and retains its original Tendo Mokko Co., Ltd. / Made in Japan label.

Upholstered in a rich teal velvet or mohair-type fabric, believed to be a later replacement. The upholstery shows wear, including a small tear on the backside and a smaller tear on the front seat. The wood has age-appropriate surface wear. No known structural issues or repairs. Sturdy and fully functional.

A collectible example of postwar Japanese modernism and one of Tendo Mokko’s most recognizable designs.
