Large enough to fill a wall, this monumental antique mirror makes a statement with its impressive scale and beautiful rosewood frame. Crafted in Beijing during the Republic Period (1912-1949) of the early 20th century, the rosewood frame has an elegant simplicity, decorated only by three finely beaded edges and an inner border of light-toned boxwood. The fine hardwood has achieved wonderful character over time, displaying rich red-brown color, a tight wood grain and a smooth lustrous finish.
Mirror glass is replacement. Minor restoration to beaded trim of frame.
