Ornately, hand-carved details on its crest and base, will draw visitors closer to fawn over a displayed family photo, an impasto, oil painting, a flamboyant mirror, or a framed, historical document. I have seen these stately easels used to display gorgeous engagement pictures, at weddings, of the happy couple, at baby showers, even at viewings—to showcase a loved one’s most important accomplishments—be it their family, their faith, or the sacrifice made for their country.
Different styles of easels can invoke many feelings—some are light and airy, maybe used to display a happy painting or a picture of a pet, while others are bright, and shiny, made of brass, to showcase an expensive treasure. This easel, exudes warmth, through its coloring, respect, due to its very size, and love, giving a nod to its fine craftsmanship—possibly displayed at Christmas—a family picture, of Christmas’ gone by, staged by a lit fireplace and a well-decorated tree.

When the easel is fully extended (to display heavier pieces), it has a width of 28 inches and a height of 58 inches. However, for most other works, the extended width would be 13 inches, and 60 inches in height.
