Each takes the form of an architectural corbel, with a broad molded shelf supported by a boldly carved acanthus leaf, a recessed central panel, and a substantial scrolled terminal.

The acanthus ornament provides the principal decorative focus, its overlapping lobes and curled tips articulated by closely spaced incised lines. Gilding contrasts with dark green passages across the foliage, while reddish-brown tones define the lower scrolls. The central panels introduce a quieter geometric element between the richly worked leaves and rounded terminals, giving the small brackets considerable sculptural presence.

Designed to project from a wall, the brackets combine practical display surfaces with ornament derived from classical architectural supports. Their carving continues around the sides, allowing the curved profiles and volutes to be appreciated from oblique viewpoints. As a pair, they offer a balanced arrangement for displaying small decorative objects.
