This antique Sheraton Revival settee dates to circa 1890–1905, featuring an unusually graceful spindle back, carved central splat and sweeping open arms. The tall back is crowned by a carved fan motif above three graduated shell-form medallions, while slender vertical spindles curve gently toward the center. Turned and reeded arm supports, tapered legs and small casters complete the refined late-19th/early-20th-century silhouette.
The settee has been newly reupholstered in a large-scale botanical fabric, styled after but not attributed to William Morris, in warm brown, soft sage, ivory, pale blue and muted gold. The organic pattern gives the antique frame a wonderfully fresh, collected look while complementing the warm tone of the wood. Finished with self-welting for a tailored appearance.
The original wood finish has been preserved, retaining the character and patina expected of an antique more than a century old. The seat has been reupholstered while retaining the antique wooden frame. Earlier upholstery was removed during restoration, revealing historic tack holes and construction consistent with the period.
A particularly decorative example of Sheraton Revival seating—equally striking as an entry or foyer settee, at the end of a bed, in a living room, or as an accent piece in a collected traditional or eclectic interior. This settee is recommended for light duty.

There is a repair from a very long time ago on one arm. It is very difficult to see and does not affect looks or function. The fabric is new, so free of tears and stains. The springs are secure. Due to age and construction, this settee is best used in an area of light duty use. less
