Designed in a richly ornamented Rococo Revival manner, the vessel combines an elongated, rounded bowl with a dramatically rising pouring lip and an elevated scroll handle. Its sweeping silhouette is supported on three sculptural paw feet with foliate and shell-form attachments.

The exterior is densely worked in floral repoussé and chasing, with open blossoms, rounded buds, curling stems, and finely articulated leaves extending across the body and up the spout. Raised petals and foliage stand against a stippled ground, creating a pronounced contrast between reflective surfaces and textured recesses. An undulating rim, edged with closely spaced gadrooned ornament, follows the contours of the bowl and reinforces the movement of the decoration.

The open scroll handle is enriched with foliate details and curled terminals, balancing the height and projection of the spout. Inside the bowl, the reverse contours of the raised ornament reveal the dimensional character of the repoussé work. The underside bears an elaborate engraved script monogram together with the stamped inscription “BIGELOW, KENNARD & CO / MAKERS / STERLING.”
