The lantern features traditional Japanese pagoda architecture with a broad flared removable roof, pierced lattice body, hinged access door, four-footed base and an iron loop handle at the top. The open lattice construction and pierced roof allow light to filter through when used with a candle or flameless LED light.

The aged surface is especially appealing, with layers of oxidation and patina that give the lantern an authentic wabi-sabi character. We have intentionally left the finish as found rather than polishing or refinishing it.

Measures approximately 13 inches tall overall. The removable top/roof measures approximately 9 inches by 8 1/2 inches.

Vintage condition with substantial age-appropriate surface oxidation, rust, finish loss, discoloration and weathering throughout. The hinged door and removable roof are intact. Please review all photographs carefully for condition and the beautiful aged surface.
