Finished in rich walnut brown, this carved walnut floor lamp is distinguished by spiral-turned column, linen drum shade, reflecting the jacobean sensibility of of the jacobean revival period France design. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Each mark and softened edge on a piece like this is part of its history rather than a flaw to be hidden.
