Finished in rich mahogany, this mahogany side table is distinguished by curved sabre legs, simple rectangular top, reflecting the regency sensibility of of the regency period Italy design. Its surface and joinery bear the honest, gradual wear of genuine age rather than a manufactured distress, evidence of a long working life already lived. Pieces of this age were made to outlast a single household, and each one carries the quiet imprint of the hands and years that came before. Choosing well-made, older furniture over something new and disposable is a small but genuine kindness to the planet. It is well suited to a lamp table. See less
