The rich mahogany surface highlights round top, turned tripod base with scroll feet, characteristic of United Kingdom furniture making in the victorian tradition, of the victorian period. Its patina has developed slowly and naturally over the years, the kind of depth that cannot be faked or hurried. Pieces of this age were made to outlast a single household, and each one carries the quiet imprint of the hands and years that came before. It is one of the better decisions you can make for the planet as well as your home, since furniture built this solidly rarely needs replacing. It is well suited to a games table or entry accent.
