The rich walnut brown surface highlights fluted styles, single drawer over a door, characteristic of France furniture making in the louis xvi tradition, of the louis xvi period. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Furniture like this was built to be passed down, not replaced, and choosing it today continues that same intention. Choosing an antique is also a small, meaningful act of sustainability: it keeps a well-made object in circulation instead of adding a new one to a landfill. It is well suited to a bedside or accent cabinet. See less
