The rich mahogany surface highlights three drawers, book-matched flame veneer, brass pulls, characteristic of France furniture making in the louis philippe tradition, of the louis philippe period. The gentle wear across its surface was earned over real decades of use, not applied for effect, and it only adds to the piece's presence. Furniture like this was built to be passed down, not replaced, and choosing it today continues that same intention.
