Finished in aged brass and bronze, this oversized studio spotlight lamp on a tripod stand is distinguished by large brass disc reflector, cast-iron tripod base, reflecting the industrial sensibility of of the industrial period Czech Republic design. Its surface and joinery bear the honest, gradual wear of genuine age rather than a manufactured distress, evidence of a long working life already lived. Pieces of this age were made to outlast a single household, and each one carries the quiet imprint of the hands and years that came before. There is something quietly right about choosing a piece that has already proven its durability, instead of something manufactured for a short lifespan. It is well suited to a statement floor lamp for a loft or studio space. See less
