This gorgeous, rounded box is made from light-toned golden burlwood with a glossy finish. The top showcases a detailed floral wood inlay motif on lid in contrasting yellow, pink and brown. Brass feet and winder on base. This classic piece features an 18-note mechanical musical movement inside, made by Swiss brand Reuge, which winds up from the bottom and triggers the melodic song whenever the hinged lid is lifted. Measures approximately 4.3 inches wide, 3.75 inches deep and 2.5 inches tall. “Made in Italy" sticker on base. Likely made in the Sorrento Peninsula region, which is world-renowned for burl wood inlay and marquetry art, known locally as intarsia.
