Complete portfolio of prints “Edition Ring” by the German post-war sculptor Hans Nagel from 1971. The five-part series showcases Nagel’s characteristic biomorphic formal language, in which organic, technoid tubular elements are contrasted with landscape and architectural spaces.
All five prints (approx. 80 x 70 cm) are signed and dated by the artist in pencil in the lower left (“Hans Nagel 1971”), titled in the center (“Ring 1” to “Ring 5”), and uniformly limited to number 7/70 in the lower right.
The edition is complete in its original cardboard portfolio with a cream-white vinyl cover (82 x 72 x 3 cm). Included are:

The detailed introductory text sheet to the graphic work.
The original colophon with a handwritten dedication by Hans Nagel: "Portfolio 7 / for Reinhard Spiegel / Hans Nagel 1971".

The prints are in very good condition; the colophon has some light foxing and a longer scratch. The portfolio shows some signs of age and use.
