Its elegant silhouette combines the flowing lines of late Art Nouveau with the increasing geometric clarity of early Art Deco. The substantial vase features a flared, deeply faceted base, a slender waist and a generously rounded upper body terminating in a broad, scalloped rim. Its surface is decorated with an elaborate hand-cut and matte-engraved thistle motif. The stylized thistle flowers and long vertical cuts emphasize the vase’s height while producing an exceptionally lively reflection of light. Weighing approximately 5.3 lb (2.4 kg), the vase is remarkably substantial and demonstrates the quality of both the glass and its craftsmanship. The maker is currently unknown. Good to very good antique condition. A minimal age-appropriate haze is occasionally visible inside the lower section from previous use. Otherwise, the vase remains in very well-maintained condition.
