Each plate is molded with sculptural water lily leaves and blossoms, finished in soft green, cream, white, and blue tones with a glossy majolica glaze. The relief decoration gives the plates a strong three-dimensional quality and makes the set especially suitable for decorative display.

The plates are marked “Made in Germany” and numbered 2474. Based on the form, decoration, pattern number, and close comparison with known examples, the set is attributed to Georg Schmider / Zell am Harmersbach, although no explicit Zell factory mark is visible on these examples.

The design is closely associated with the decorative majolica tradition of Germany’s Black Forest region and has the naturalistic, highly ornamental character typical of early-to-mid 20th-century European art pottery.

The set works beautifully as a coordinated wall display, cabinet collection, or decorative table arrangement.
