The tapestry depicts an elegant female figure in a long red gown, surrounded by richly dressed characters, exotic birds, elaborate floral motifs and architectural elements. The composition is characterized by bold geometric forms, flowing lines and strong contrasts, set against a dramatic deep purple and red background. A particularly beautiful feature is the sophisticated combination of purple, crimson red, ochre, gold, black, cream and shades of green, giving the work a distinctly mid-century aesthetic.
