This rare pair of French Restoration period (circa 1820-1830) candlesticks beautifully blend classical elegance and architectural form. Featuring a finely chiseled ormolu (gilt bronze) urn-shaped bobeche and wide drip pan they are supported by a fluted and cast crystal column shaft. Columns rest on heavy substantial block bases of think clear faceted crystal, framed by a decorative gilt bronze rim along the bottom border.
A stunning statement with neoclassical proportions and brilliant play of light versatile for both traditional and eclectic modern interiors.
