Formed from fossilized wood, each piece retains the beautiful organic character of the original tree, with visible grain patterns, warm ochre and cream tones, and wonderfully rugged natural edges. The cut faces reveal distinctive markings and subtle tonal variations, creating an almost abstract landscape-like appearance. Their substantial, architectural forms make them equally appealing as functional bookends or sculptural objects displayed on a console, desk, or bookshelf. A beautiful juxtaposition of polished surfaces and raw texture gives the pair a particularly sophisticated, organic quality.
